for novel dreamers and creative writers…

…remember why you started writing,
and come back,
to the page, to the draft, to the words,
and onwards once more…

Dear Novel Dreamer and creative writer,

This workshop is about staying with your dream, and making space for your writing.

This is a day to remember writing dreams, make writing plans for the rest of this year, and hold space for your needs on a writing journey that is all yours.

We will learn from, hear from, and write with other writers on their writing journeys.

There will be time to work on your current project (or for a new idea that comes up on the day).

See you on the day,
Cecilia.

What you’ll learn and do in this workshop...

  • Remember your dreams for your writing (novel and creative).
  • Recognise your writing journey to this day and plan out your writing adventure for the next 3 to 6 months.
  • Learn some novel craft – in this workshop, we will look at the mid-way sections of stories where ideas for plot might fizzle out or we get stuck.
  • We finish the workshop with the next steps or stage for your writing journey.

IMPORTANT NOTE: None of your ideas or writing needs to be shared with the other workshop participants during the workshop, unless you want to on the day.

What's included...

An In-person workshop

Writing can feel like a lonely process, so an in-person workshop can help you meet other writers who may be going through the same experiences as you.

A location outside of your home gives you space to focus on your writing needs and your novel.

Handouts on the day

Worksheets/handouts and any other references/resources from the workshop will be available at the workshop on the day.

A beautiful Location

The workshop is in the Main Gallery upstairs at the Coastguard Cultural Centre in Tramore, Co. Waterford. I love the incredible views of Tramore Bay.

At the Coastguard Cultural Centre, there’s an on-site Café and you’ll be able to purchase take-away options before we start and during breaks through the workshop.

There’s free parking near and around the centre. For accessibility, there’s a lift inside up to the Main Gallery.

this is your writing journey, a Whole Novel Life

Hi, I'm Cecilia

I’m a Novel Navigator.

I help you do your novel, trust your journey, overcome self-doubt and make novel writing a part of your life.

For over a decade, I’ve facilitated writers in creative and novel writing groups.

Trained with the Cert. in Creative Writing for Publication and the Two Roads program at Maynooth University (Kilkenny Campus) with Suzanne Power and John MacKenna.

Received a Regional Bursary (Literature) residency award for the Tyrone Guthrie Centre.

I write science fiction: author of ‘The Alien Eve’, have poetry and short fiction in two anthologies ‘Hammered Glass’ and ‘Word Weavers: A First Anthology’.

I know the dream of being a novel writer and I know that taking the first step of anything can be the hardest thing to do. It is both scary and exciting to want to write a novel.

Remember, you’re already a writer.

Book your place to make time for your writing dreams and your writing.

This is for Novel Dreamers and creative writers.
For your writing journey.
