Cecilia wrote the first draft of a novel about four years ago, put it aside and then wrote and completed another science fiction novel called ‘The Alien Eve’ in 2013. She has three other novels underway: ‘Things to Fear’, ‘The 13th Vision’ and ‘Talking to Alice’. She was awarded Artlinks Mentoring in 2012 and 2013, an Artlinks Bursary in 2013 and a Regional Arts Bursary in 2014 for the Tyrone Guthrie Centre in Annamakerrig, Co. Monahan, through the Arts Office, Waterford County Council. She completed a Cert. in Creative Writing for Publication and the Two Roads programme at NUI Maynooth (Kilkenny Campus).

She has poetry and short prose in:
Word Weavers: A First Anthology, published by Word Weavers Tramore, June 2014.Hammered Glass, published by Maynooth University: Kilkenny Campus Press, March 2015.

Born in England, she has lived in Sudan, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, and is in Ireland since 1991. She has a background in engineering and photography, loves hill walking and photographs animal poo.

‘The Alien Eve’ is her first novel.
